Barbara Jean Steppee

Barbara Jean Steppee, 64, of Quitman, MS, passed away on March 28, 2017, at Anderson's Hospital. 

She was born on January 16, 1953, to Odell and Imogene (Chandler) Jones in Milan, TN. Her love for God and his faithfulness was portrayed in how she lived.   She loved gardening, fountains, dolls and being with her family.  She always wore flip flops regardless of the weather.  She was faithful in His service as a minister and loved her church family. She was surrounded by her family as she crossed over to her eternal home.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Terry Steppee; sons, Timothy (Sheryl) Steppee and Todd (Brittany) Steppee; daughters, Tonya Queen and Tabitah (Jason) Wilson; sister, Judy (Charles) Reaves; sister-in-law, Judy Hannan; grandchildren, Meagan (Jamie), Matt (Kalee), Abel (Elizabeth), Jessica, Hannah, Jada, Jace, Dynah, Londyn, and Bella; and great-grandchildren, Jamie, John, Jathan, Eli, and Hydie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Imogene Jones; brother, Terry Hannan and son-in-law, Paul Queen.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2017, 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, 11:00 am at the Shady Grove Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will take place in the Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Abel Steppee, Rodney Fagan, Jr., Larry Holifield, Don Lewis, Jack Thomas, and David Roberts
