The deadline to qualify for a seat on the Quitman and Enterprise School Board of Trustees is Friday, September 7th.
Trustees are elected to a five year term on the school board. Each November, one of the five seats is up for election for both districts.
The Mississippi Forestry Commission officially closed its Quitman office Friday, July 20, 2018, due to combining offices with Jasper County, according to Mike Crowell, Assistant Regional Forester with MFC in Pearl, MS.
