McKenzie earns Eagle Scout

Mauricka McKenzie, Jr., a 15 year old 10th grade honor roll student at Clinton High School, was honored in Jackson, MS on February 2, 2018 by being inducted into the 2017 Class of Eagle Scouts by the Boy Scouts of America -Andrew Jackson Council.  A total of 88 scouts were inducted into the 2017 Class of Eagle Scouts from the Andrew Jackson Council.  Mauricka, Jr. reached the Eagle Scout rank at the age of 14 from First Baptist Church Clinton Troop 12. Mauricka has been active in Boy Scouts at First Baptist Church Clinton since the age of 8.  He is member of Clinton High's band and track team and is active in his church.  He plans to pursue a career in business or engineering.  He is the son of Rev. Mauricka and Oona McKenzie, Sr. of Clinton, MS.  His paternal grandparents are Sylvester and Catherine McKenzie of Quitman, MS and his maternal grandparent is Ophelia Kelly of Clinton, MS.
