Milton Lavell Woodall, Sr.

Milton Lavell Woodall, Sr passed away Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Specialty Hospital of Meridian.

Lavell was born on December 21, 1942 to Robert Milton and Helen (McQuirter) Woodall.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Allgood Woodall, granddaughter, Miranda Kay Harvey, his brother, Jace Royce Woodall and both parents.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Kay (Lee) Harvey, Janet Headrick, Milton Lavell (Stephanie) Woodall Jr., 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, siblings Audrey Barnes, Paul (Lois) Woodall, Joyce (John) James.

Lavell grew up in Stonewall, MS and remained there, working as a weaver for Burlington Industries. Many people living in or around Stonewall knew a lot if their jeans were made from the denim manufactured in the small town at Burlington. When Burlington closed, Lavell worked as a night watchman until he reached retirement age.

Lavell was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He had plenty of stories to tell about his adventures.

There will be a Memorial Service in honor of Lavell on December 2, 2017 at 1pm. Location will be Calvary Baptist Church 3905 8th St Meridian, MS 39307. In lieu of flowers please give donations to your local church or favorite charity.
