Great Southern Bank will host two events next weekend as fundraisers for the Clarke County Stacked against Cancer Benevolence fund for Anderson’s Cancer Center.
The public is encouraged to participate in the Annual Community Health Fair on Thursday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon. The session will be held at the Extension Service Multi – Purpose Building.

Mrs. Lucile West Sanderson, 79, of Quitman, MS passed from this life Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman, MS. She was born in Clarke County, MS on Friday, February 25, 1938 to Ruell West and Lula Mae West.
On February 22, Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) agents executed a search warrant at the residence of Charles William Dillard, 62, at 566 Hwy 511, Quitman.
Shelia Lynn Gibbs, 47, of Quitman, passed away on October 19, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital.
She was born on December 17, 1969 to Billy and Faye (Weaver) Brady in Waynesboro, MS.
William J. “Bill” Long, age 74 of Spring Hill, TN passed away suddenly on November 27, 2017. Bill was born in Quitman, MS to the late Hubert Long and Annie Bell Carmichael Long.
