“It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.” (Proverbs 25:2) The Lord could have given us a 100-page book and offered to simplify the answers to all of our questions.
“Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word.” (Psalm 119:67) It would be sadistic to say we enjoy affliction. It would also require us to embrace an Eastern worldview and philosophy.
“Go to the ant… consider her ways… Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest” (Proverbs 6:6-8) The hardest part of any endeavor is preparation.
"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing;” (Isaiah 43:18-19) Life is filled with new beginnings. Giving mankind a fresh start is obviously very dear to the Lord’s heart.
