A Republican Municipal Election Rally was held this past Thursday at Clarkco State Park.

The City of Quitman is proposing a No Burn Ordinance that would prohibit local residents from outdoor burning. A public hearing will be held Tuesday, June 6th at 6 p.m. to allow residents to speak in favor of this ordinance or against.

The Quitman Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts Pack #35 held a badging ceremony Monday, May 8 at the Quitman First Methodist Church. The Boy Scouts earned three badges each, the Weeblos five each, Wolves 11 each, and Tigers 13 each.
